A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 5, 2020, at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Ronnie was born July 30, 1944 to the late Charles Hugh "Cotton" Newton and Jean Byers Newton. In addition to his parents, his wife, Linda Vance Newton, and a brother, Hugh Lee Newton, preceded him. He worked as a welder for Freightliner.
He is survived by two sons, Chuck Newton and Bobby Newton, both of Lincolnton; three grandchildren, David Newton, Billy Newton, and Brad Newton; and five great-grandchildren, Bryan Newton, Gunner Rollins, Mallory Rollins, Sam Newton, and Will Watts.
