Shirley Sue (Skaggs) Lockhart, of Nashville, TN, peacefully passed away while surrounded by family at the age of 73 on July 4, 2016.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents, James and Sadye (Waggoner) Skaggs.

She is survived by her loving husband, Jerry Lockhart; three children, John Preston (Aretha) Lockhart, Robert Wayne (Kim) Lockhart, and Cassandra Sue Spurlock; eight grandchildren, Zach Lockhart, Isaac Campbell, Colton Lockhart, Kristine Lockhart, Alex Lockhart, John Lockhart, Rachelle Spurlock, and Cera Lockhart; one great-grandchild, Gary Lam; and sisters Faye Baldock and Peggy Bush.

Visitation will be held at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1150 South Dickerson Road, Thursday from 4-8 p.m. and Friday from 9-10 a.m., until the hour of her service at 10 a.m. Mrs. Lockhart will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Sue was a proud wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother; she enjoyed shopping, photography, and volunteering with the local Boy Scout troops.
