Bobby Franklin "Bob" Scott, 88, Lumberton, passed away on June 14, 2021 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Rockingham County, North Carolina on May 07, 1933.
Bob was a member of the Chestnut Street United Methodist Church where he had served for fifty years. He also had served as a Stephen Minister and was active in the Wesley Friendship Class. He was a state employee as an auditor for many years before retiring.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas J. "Tommie" Scott and Georgie Shockley-Scott.
Bob is survived by his wife of sixty plus years, Frances Lewis Scott; a daughter, Lisa Pittman of Virginia; a son, Jeff Scott (Debbi) of Pembroke; his brother, Karl Scott (Cindy), of Eden; two grandsons, Jeffrey Scott and Dylan Scott (Laura Hill), of Lumberton; and a nephew, Danny Scott (Liberty) of Eden.
A memorial service will be held in Chestnut Street UMC with the Rev. Herbert Lowery, Jr. officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the General Fund of Chestnut Street UMC 208 E. 8th Street, Lumberton, NC 28358.
Services are entrusted to Boles-Biggs Funeral Home.
