Born in Brooklyn, NY, Mrs. Hansen was an original homeowner in the Magnolia Hill Section of Levittown, and has been a resident of Fairless Hills for the past 7 years.
She graduated from James Madison High School in Brooklyn, NY and the Long Island College School of Nursing. Mrs. Hansen was a Registered Nurse at Lower Bucks Hospital and had been the Chaplain's Assistant at the hospital during her 25 years of employment. She was an active charter member of the former Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church; she was a member of the council and involved with the women's organization.
Janet enjoyed traveling and going to dinner with her family. She was a member of the Bristol Township Seniors Group, where she greatly enjoyed playing Bingo with her friends.
Beloved wife of the late Arthur B. Hansen, Mrs. Hansen is the loving mother of Judith M. Wilson (late John) of Quakertown, PA; James A. Hansen and his wife Sally of Levittown, PA; and Paul A. Hansen and his wife Jacqueline of Yardley, PA.
She will also be sadly missed by nine grandchildren: Jennifer, Brian, Carrie, Timothy, Eric, Amy, Katie, Lisa, and Stephanie; her great grandchildren, Ethan, Quinn, Molly, Grace, Daisy, Frankie and Madeline; her sister Ruth Connors (late Thomas); and two nephews: Thomas and Donald Connors.
Family and friends may call on Friday, June 18, 2021, from 10:00 until 11:00 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown, where her funeral service will be held at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Newtown Cemetery.
