Esperance (Schoharie County): Harry J. "Bud" Kindt 83, of State Rte.30A passed away peacefully at home on Monday June 14th with his daughter at his side.

Bud was born November 26, 1937 in Sloansville, NY a son of Harry John and Edna (Zeh) Kindt and graduated from Mohonasen High School. Bud enlisted in the US Air Force where he served stateside as a cook until his honorable discharge in 1962. He later received his degree in Business from SUNY Cobleskill and began a long career in the banking industry retiring as Vice President of Key Bank. Bud was charter member #3 of BPO Elks Lodge #2507 where he served as ER several years. As a committed Elk, he also served as District Deputy along with several committees both local and district wide. He was also a member of the Cobleskill Eagles Aerie #2695, Noah Lodge #754 F.&AM in Altamont and a past member of the Esperance Fire Department and Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Bud married Sandra "Sandy" (Geier) on March 5, 1960. She predeceased him on October 24, 2016. Survivors include his daughters; Michelle "Micki" Kindt (Rick Jones) of Esperance and Patricia Myers of Ormond Beach, FL, 3 grandsons; Michael C. Kindt., Sr., Tyler J. Myers, and Kevin W. Myers, 2 great-grandchildren; Michael C. "Toot-Toot" Kindt, Jr. and Mileena Kindt, his sister; Joan (Ed) Geier of Schenectady along with several nieces and nephews. Bud was also predeceased by his son, Harry "JR" Kindt, Jr. in 1998.

Calling hours will be held from 6-8 PM on Friday, June 18th at the Langan Funeral Home, 327 Main Street Schoharie where an Elks service will be held at 7:30PM. A funeral service will be held at 11AM on Saturday, June 19th at the funeral home with burial following at Sloansville Valley Cemetery with military honors.
