Obituary for Faye Young
Bonnie Faye Taylor Young was born on Monday, July 19, 1939 in Nashoba, Oklahoma to parents Earl and Jewel Taylor. She passed on to her Heavenly Home on Monday, June 14, 2021 from Bethesda House in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Hayhurst Funeral Home.

Faye Taylor was born in Pushmataha County, Oklahoma in a dirt floor log cabin. After graduating high school in Pawhuska, she attended college at Oklahoma Baptist University before graduating from Oklahoma State University. She married Dave Young at Lynn Baptist Church, in Pawhuska, Oklahoma on August 31st, 1958. She worked as a staff assistant for IBM, as a school teacher, and as a church secretary.

Later in their lives together Dave and Faye went to Albania and established a church and several outreach ministries. Faye loved being a missionary's wife. Dave exclaimed, "She was the best wife a man could ask for." Some of Faye's favorite things were tending to her beautiful flowers, traveling worldwide, camping, and puzzles.

She is survived by,

Son, Rick Young and wife, Susan of New Bern, North Carolina
Daughter, Brenda Byers and husband, Robert of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma
Grandchildren, Gabriel Young, Joshua Young, Sarah (Josh) Howell, Rhonda Byers, and Bryant (Kensy) Byers
Great-Grandchildren, Jacob Byers, Lydia Byers, and Silas Howell
Brothers, Harvey Taylor and Gary Taylor

Preceded in death by parents, Earl and Jewel Taylor, and sister, Helen Kendrix.
