Joe was born to Joseph and Charlotte Park and remained a lifelong resident of Islip, NY.
Joe was a graduate of New York Institute of Technology with degrees in Environmental Engineering and Electrical Engineering, and was a consumate student of the sciences still. He was looking forward to retirement from SCDPW as a Traffic Engineer II, and his long time business, Long Island Maintenance servicing movie theatres throughout Long Island.
Joe lived with a strong sense of family, doted on his grandnieces, and never missed a Park family function.
When not working, Joe could be found out in Montauk for peace and contentment.
He was known for his devotion to friends and family, his quick wit, knowledge of all things, and a staple of Main Street, Islip.
Joe is preceded in death by his mother, Charlotte. He is survived by his father, Joseph E., Sr; sisters Shirley Park, Joyce (John) Mlodynia, and Betty-Jean (Kraig) Park; nephews James Park and John (Kim) Mlodynia; niece April (Chris) Read; and grandnieces Chloe, Kali, Haley, and Alina. Visiting Friday, 2-4:30 and 7-9PM at the Overton Funeral Home, Inc., 172 Main St., Islip, NY, where a religious service will take place at 4PM.
Interment and committal prayers will be after 10AM at Oakwood Cemetery, Bay Shore, NY. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Trinity Lutheran Church, 111 Nassau Ave., Islip, NY.
