John Scott Alleman passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 10, 2021, at Weirton Medical Center; he was 70 years old.

He was born in Steubenville, Ohio, on October 9, 1950. One of three children to the late Scott and Alice Long Alleman.

John grew up in Hancock County and was a 1969 graduate of Oak Glen High School. Immediately after high school, he enrolled in Wheeling Barber College and had practiced his trade all of his life; He was respectfully known as "John the Barber." His most recent stint was as working at Styles Unlimited for the last twenty years. He married the love of his life, Carolyn Samoraj, on November 8, 1980; they were blessed with four children and two grandchildren.

Although graduating from the rival in the county, his love and heart belonged to Weir High. You would find John following Weir High sports, keeping stats for the football and basketball teams. So many individuals had sat in his chair through the years. He was always ready to engage in good conversation. His topics were endless, but most of all, he would find himself speaking about sports, politics, and his beloved Red Riders.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his sisters, Rebecca Alleman and Emma Sue Luke, and nephew Chad Luke.

John will be remembered with love by his wife, Carolyn Alleman of Weirton, son, Ryan Alleman, daughters Melissa, Ashley, and Natalie Alleman, son-in-law Aladdin Timbayan, grandsons Henry and Miles Timbayan, brother-in-law Edward Samoraj, sister-in-law Marilyn Denicola and many nieces and nephews.

Rev Fr. Babu Joseph Elamturuthil will celebrate a private Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Paul's Roman Catholic Church in Weirton. Burial will follow in Saint Paul Cemetery.
