Cherryville - Mrs. Margaret Sue Dellinger Webb, 93, passed away on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at Atrium Health - Cleveland.

Mrs. Webb was born in Gaston County, NC on January 3, 1928 a daughter of the late Henry Bryce Dellinger and Talathy Dellinger Dellinger. She was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church in Cherryville serving in many capacities including being a member of the Sanctuary Choir and Director of the Children's Choir for over 50 years, a member of the Florene Styles Sunday School class, the Young at Heart and a former Sunday School teacher for many years. Mrs. Webb also helped with the First United Methodist Church Kindergarten from 1965 to 1975. She retired from Cherryville Elementary School after 17 years of service. She was also a member of the Cherryville Music Club and Cherryville Garden Club. Mrs. Webb was a charter member of Cherryville Eastern Star Chapter #156 Order of the Eastern Star.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, John Wonnie Webb, Jr. and a brother, Wayne Dellinger.

Survivors include her two sons, Danny Webb and wife Teresa of Cherryville; Rick Webb and wife Phyllis of Kernersville; a sister, Eloise Mauney of Cherryville; five grandchildren, Darin Webb and wife Emily of Cherryville; Laura Webb Price and husband Nick of Stanley; Parker Webb and wife Melodi of Colfax; Taylor Webb and wife Kelsey of Lexington, NC and Hannah Webb of High Point; eight great grandchildren, Hadley Webb, Easton Webb, Jackson Price, Avery Price, Brock Webb, Stella Webb, Bryce Webb and Caleb Webb.

The family would like to express a special thank you to Lucy Hartman and Betty Harper for the care they provided Mrs. Webb.

Visitation will be from 9:45am to 10:45am on Thursday, June 17, 2021 at First United Methodist Church in Cherryville and at other times the family will be at the home of Danny and Teresa Webb.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, June 17, 2021 at First United Methodist Church with Pastor Zack Christy officiating.

Burial will follow in City Memorial Cemetery with Eastern Star Rites by Cherryville Chapter #156 Order of the Eastern Star.

Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, 601 N. Pink Street, Cherryville, NC 28021.
