MIKE'S OBITUARY
Michael Ray Robertson "Mike", age 78 of Blythe, passed away Saturday June 5th, 2021 at Palo Verde Hospital.

Mike was born in Upland, California and raised in Blythe where he graduated from Palo Verde High School.

He loved adventurous stuff like skydiving, scuba diving, snow skiing, water skiing, hot air ballooning, hunting, fishing, camping and hiking with his family. He was a member of E Clampus Vitus. Most of all he loved to gamble, you could find him at the craps tables in Las Vegas, Laughlin, or at his local hang outs, Jim Dandy's or South Forty with a Black Velvet and 7 in hand.

In his teens he drove his mom (Judy) crazy. She always kept a scanner by her side to monitor when he got into trouble. One story no one will forget. When he was 17 he and 3 friends acquired 55 sticks of dynamite, and drove through the Palo Verde valley blowing things up. The headlines read "Teenage Dynamiters Terrorize PV Valley" all in fun. No one was hurt and yes, they were caught 2 1/2 hours later. With all the car wrecks and numerus accidents, you could say, he was a man with 9 lives.

Mike believed that you should never waste a moment. "Work Hard and Play Harder!" was his motto. Mike lived life "My Way" - Frank Sinatra.

He owned "Mikes Bikes" on Hobson way in the 70's with ex-wife Shirley Farmer. He worked at Eagle Mountain as a Heavy Equipment Operator until it closed in 1981. From there he went to San Diego, Joined Local 12 Union, and spent majority of his years at San Onofre Nuclear Power Plant as a Crain Operator and a Supervisor. He retired in 2007, traveled for a few years with wife Melissa, and settled in his childhood home on 4th Street in Blythe.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents Louis "Louie" N Robertson and Julia "Judy" M Seago, Ex-wives Shirley Farmer and Judie Robertson, Brother Louie "lil Louie"Robertson, and Nephew Joe Todd "JT" Lykins.

He is survived by wife Melissa Robertson, Step mom Myrtie Robertson of Roll, AZ; Daughters, Shelly Heckerson and Michelle Spence, Son in Laws Clarence Spence and Tim Myers, Dale Heckerson; Step Children, Lawson, Kim and Tammy Heflin; Brothers and Sisters, Mike "Lil Mike" Robertson, Kathy Brown, Angela and Todd Duvall, Jaynee Hymphrey, Dale Prinky, Renae and Hector Canez, Jearold Searles, and Clyde Brown; Grandkids, Brent Bangert, Callie and Mathew Hill, Clarence "Bo" Spence, Hanna, Kale, Sierra and Max Heckerson, Tony and Missy Blair, Chine and Felix Pantaleon, Lauren, Karissa and Cody Burns; Nephews and Nieces, Jason Brown, Brad Brown, Destiny Duvall, Louie Humphrey, Noelle, Alex and Wyatt Canez, Kevin and Christy Robertson.
