Frank K. Rowe, age 88 of Matamoras, Pennsylvania passed away December 9, 2018 at his home. He was born on May 18, 1930 in Matamoras, the son of Frank W. and Anna Meyer Rowe.

Frank proudly served our country during the Korean War with the U.S. Army. He was a long time member of the Matamoras Fire Dept. and was an avid fisherman.

Frank married Doris A. Decker Rowe who pre-deceased him in January 2007. He is survived by his daughter, Leisa Rowe of Mooresville, North Carolina; his sister, Hermina Brundage of Port Jervis; his beloved grandson, Nolan William Rowe; several nieces, including his special nieces, Tammie Rake Klemm and Bobbie Jo Muller.

Frank was pre-deceased by his daughter, Robin Lee Rowe in 2014 and his brother, Kenneth Rowe.

Frank will be deeply missed by many who loved him. Frank loved to hunt and fish and loved outdoor activities. You could see him tinkering on his fishing boat most days and he loved just to make his own little inventions. He was very talented when it came to art in which he used that god given skill to be one of the best union welders in the community. He loved watching his NASCAR on Sundays and was forever a Philadelphia Eagles football fan. The Heaters Hill Gang will miss him dearly as he was always having a beer or two with them up on Heaters Hill on most weekends. Frank was a simple and quiet man but his wisdom and love spoke volumes.

Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, 154 E. Main St., Port Jervis, NY. Rev. Nancy Vonderhorsrt will officiate. Interment will be private.

Memorial contributions may be made to The Independence Fund, 9013 Perimeter Woods Dr., Suite E, Charlotte, NC. 28216.
