Karen Sue Nance Hensley, 61, of Soddy-Daisy, passed away on Monday, January 4, 2021. She was a Registered Nurse at Life Care of East Ridge and later worked at Life Care of Hixson for over 10 years. She was an avid reader, loved animals, and was an advocate for her patients. Karen was preceded in death by her father, Roy Lee Nance; grandparents, Robert and Winnie Carlisle and Orville and Mae Nance and father-in-law, John Hensley, Sr.
Survivors are her children, Tara Nicole May and Ty Hensley (Taylor); mother, Freida Nance; siblings, Diane Boston (Jeff), Ron Nance and several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
Services will be on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Daisy Church of God with Bishop Caleb Bolton officiating. Visitation is Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Saturday before the service at the church. In following COVID-19 guidelines, the family is asking mask be worn at the service and visitation.
The family request no flowers be sent to the service. Please feel free to make a memorial contribution to a charity of your choice instead.
