Mrs. Bruder was the daughter of John Frazier and Celia (Gibson) Atkinson.

Margaret Bruder

Margaret A. Bruder, 101, died September 28, 2006 at The Ledges at Rockynol.

Margaret was born November 13, 1904, in Ohio County, West Virginia. She graduated from Muskingum College and celebrated 63 years of marriage with her husband, the Rev. Andrew Bruder. Together they touched the lives of many people as they spread the word of God and the love of Jesus Christ throughout various church congregations and affiliations. Her uplifting spirit and ready smile continued to touch people through her daily interactions at Rockynol Retirement Community, where she resided for the past 14 years.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. H. Andrew Bruder, and her sons, John H. Bruder and James R. Bruder. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Edana (Dina) Bruder, grandson, Mark (Beverly) of San Diego, Calif.; granddaughter Jana (David) McClish of Akron; grandson, John (Suzanne) of Doylestown; and great-grandchildren, Adam, Sean, Andrew, Kaitlin, Matthew, and Aaron.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Friday at Rockynol Retirement Community, Carrell Center, 1150 W. Market St., Akron, Ohio 44313. Private entombment at Rose Hill Burial Park. Friends may call Thursday 6-9 PM at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., Akron 44333. Should friends desire, donations in Margaret's name may be made to Hospice Visiting Nurse Service, 3358 Ridgewood Rd, Akron 44333 or Muskingum College, 223 Montgomery Hall, New Concord, Ohio 43762.
