Joshua A. Culler joined the Union Army during the Civil War on Nov 8, 1862. He served in the 23 light Artillery Battery Regiment, Indiana. He was living in Huntington County, Indiana at the time of his enlistment. According to military records Joshua deserted on January 27, 1863. It is said that he was never heard from by the family again.
Joshua died or missing, between 1860 & 1878. His wife Rebecca received his share of his fathers estate, the amount was $18.10. The receipt for the $18.10 was signed and date in Huntington, Indiana January 4, 1878 by Rebecca.
