Melissa "Missy" Kay Campbell, 50, of Soddy-Daisy, went to be home with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 18, 2021 surrounded by her family at CHI Memorial Hospital. She was a 1989 graduate of Soddy-Daisy High School where she was best known for "Wonder Woman" and also from Chattanooga State with a business degree. Missy was a 2 time cancer survivor. She attended and volunteer at the oncology camp, Camp Horizon. She was the 2013 Survivor's Award Winner for the Breast Cancer Walk. Missy worked at CHI Memorial for 27 years where she wore many hats and was a Pioneer Award Winner. She was a dedicated and faithful member of New Salem Baptist Church in Soddy-Daisy. Always smiling and making a difference in someone's life, Missy was a dedicated wife, mother, sister and mentor to so many. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Cecil and Alice Spangler and Larry and Betty Nix and her loving friends, Linda Cameron Busico and Elaina Francisco Branham.

Survivors are her husband of 20 years, Charles "Charlie" Campbell; son, Blake Edward Campbell; parents, Pete and Connie Nix; siblings, Carter Nix and Mindy Tillison (Jason); niece, Sage Baliles; nephew, Jaxon Tillison; God parents, Gary and Kay Wood, several aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.

Services will be on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at New Salem Baptist Church with Pastor Alan Rogers and Mama Robin Legg officiating. Burial will follow at Chattanooga Memorial Park. Visitation is Monday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home and will lie in state from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Tuesday before the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Camp Horizon at www.camphorizontn.org or New Salem Baptist Church at www.newsalembaptist.net.
