Beverly Allen, 70, passed away on June 8, 2021. She was born August 3, 1950 in Charlotte, a daughter of the late Roy W. and Edna Whitfield Thomas. Beverly was a graduate of East Mecklenburg High School, class of 1968, and the University of North Carolina-Charlotte, class of 1972. She worked for Catalytic Engineering, Duke Energy and with her husband at Russell Allen & Associates.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Russell "Russ" Allen; brother, Russell "Rusty" Thomas (Cindy) and their children, Sarah Patrick (Jeshua) and their children Elizabeth and Michael, Erin Williams (Wesley) and their daughter Olivia, James Thomas (Brittany); brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Randall "Randy" Allen (Lynn) and their children Chad Allen, Meredith Allen Speas (Matthew) and their daughter Lillian "Lil" Speas.
The service to celebrate and honor her life will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 in the chapel of McEwen Myers Park, 500 Providence Rd., Charlotte. Interment will follow at Sharon Memorial Park.
