Daniel J. Henson, 71, of Sterling, died Friday April 20, 2018 at his home following an illness.
He was born on April 29, 1946, in Sterling, the son of Donald and Florence (Marcrum) Henson.
He married Linda Smith. He later married Clarise K. Hunsberger on May 28, 1988. Dan served in the US Army for over 21 years retiring with the rank of Master Sergeant. Dan then went to work at Frantz Bearing Division in Sterling as a setup man retiring after 20 years of service.
Survivors include his wife, Clarise; sons: Aaron, Matthew, Michael (Julie) and Brandon (Kaylyn Anger); his three grandchildren: Jeremy, Lauren and Theodore and his sisters: Wanda Richards, Nonnie Bell and Fay Moreland.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers: James, Charles and Leslie; one sister Brenda DeAnn Williams and a son, Steven Henson.
A gathering of friends and family will take place on Wednesday April 25, 2018 from 10 – 11 followed by a memorial service at 11 AM at the First Christian Church in Sterling. Military honors will conclude the services outside of the church.
