Rev. Paul Edward Stewart, Muskogee resident passed from this life on June 8, 2021. He was 80.
Paul was born in Muskogee the son of Raymond Edgar and Minnie Belle (Todd) Stewart. On October 15, 1960 he married Norma Jean "Jeanie" Webb in Elm Grove. They were married for 46 years until her death in 2007. Paul worked as a forklift operator at Stone Container Corporation for 45 years and was a member of the United Paperworkers International Union. Paul was also an Evangelist and a member of the Pentecostal Church of God. One of his greatest joys was to preach the Gospel and tell people about Jesus.
Paul enjoyed playing golf, playing games with his family, umpiring baseball games, camping and working at Church Camp. He also loved to fish and could filet and fry fish like no one else.
Surviving are his daughter Rhonda Bowlin and husband Shawn of Bixby; son Kent Stewart and wife Cindy of Baker, FL; grandchildren Cassie Cramer and husband Brian, Kyle Stewart, Keith Stewart and Lauren Harrah, Amelia Bowlin, Jacob Bowlin and wife Alexus and Mikala Bowlin; great grandchildren Thomas Cramer, Reagan Cramer, Harmony Stewart, Lyla Bowlin, Kenzi Bowlin, Ezra Woodard and Emmarie Jean Woodard. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Jeanie, son and daughter-in-law Brian and Ronnye Gayle Stewart, granddaughter Bethany Kay Stewart and two brothers Danny Stewart and Edward Stewart.
Services will be 10:00 am Monday June 14, 2021 at Genesis Church in Muskogee with Rev. Tom Clendenen officiating. Interment will follow at Agnew Cemetery under the care and direction of Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home. Viewing will be on Sunday from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
