Rosemary "Tutti" Hughes, of Tickfaw, Louisiana, passed away at Heritage Manor Nursing Home on Friday, June 11, 2021, at the age of 79. She was born on Monday, July 14, 1941, in Tickfaw, Louisiana. Rosemary was a member of the Catholic Daughters of Pompeii Catholic Church. She loved to work on the St. Joseph Alter and the Feast of the Blessed Mother. Rosemary also loved the holidays and spending time with her grandchildren, cook, read books, and make Italian cookies. She was also Elvis Presley's number one fan!
Rosemary is survived by her husband of 58 years, Raymond Hughes Sr.; children, Sharon Hughes and her fiancé Marc Gulotta, Raymond Hughes Jr. and his wife Kristi and Janell Hughes and her fiancé Steve Ogmibene Jr.; grandchildren, Chase Miller and his wife Corrie, Jesse Bourgeois and his wife Aeriel, Brandi Miller and her fiancé Justin Russell, Hailey Hughes, Macey Hughes, Kobey Hughes, Emiley Hughes, Elley Hughes and Rayley Hughes; great-grandchildren, Veronica Miller, Olivia Miller, Hadleigh Bourgeois and Liliana Russell; and sister, Annie Esnault.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Rosie Positari Galofaro; brothers, Mike Galofaro and Joseph Galofaro; and sisters, Sarah Falcon and Mamie Pfefferle.
Visitation for Family and Friends will be on Tuesday, June 15 from 9:00 am until 10:30 am at Harry McKneely and Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, La. 70401. A Funeral Mass will be held after the Visitation at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Pompeii Catholic Church, 14450 Hwy 442, Tickfaw, Louisiana 70466.
Interment will follow in Pompeii Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum.
