Stephen was born 77 years ago on April 22, 1944 in Cooperstown, to Eleanor (Camp) and Raymond H. Brodie, Sr.
Stephen graduated from Middleburgh Central School in 1963 and served in the United States Army from 1963-1966.
He worked for many years as a driver and team leader with the Schenectady County Highway Department.
Stephen was also a dedicated volunteer fireman, serving with the Esperance, Delanson and Burtonsville Volunteer Fire Departments.
He loved golfing, fishing, camping and though he didn't like the cold of winter, he loved plowing snow. Country music touched his heart and set his feet in motion, dancing around the floor and he loved singing along to his favorite songs, badly, but it brought him great joy. His smile, laughter and happy-go-lucky nature will be remembered forever, especially by his beloved grandchildren.
Stephen was predeceased by his parents and his brother: Raymond H. Brodie, Jr.
Cherishing his love forever are his wife: Beverly (Stanton) Brodie, whom he married 56 and a half years ago on December 20, 1964 and his children: Sharon (Jessalyn) Brodie of Schenectady, Peter Brodie of Delanson, Stephen (Maria) Brodie, Jr. of Minden, NY, Lorri (Edward) Meyers of Delanson; grandchildren: Kayleigh (Luke) Brodie, Mia Rose Meyers and Jamison Brodie; several nieces, nephews and other family members.
Interment, with Military Honors will take place in Grove Cemetery, Delanson.
