Funeral services for Mr. Willie Lee "Scoop" Scott of Wrightsville, Georgia, will be held on Monday, June 14, 2021, at 11 AM at the graveside in the Mitchell Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, 78 Mitchell Grove Church Road in Wrightsville, Georgia. Pastor H. Bernard Young will deliver the eulogy.

Mr. Scott was born on March 1, 1946, in Wrightsville, Georgia, to Adell T. Scott and the late Willie Clover Sr. He was a well-respected and dedicated employee with the City of Wrightsville for 28 years. Upon his retirement, the city honored him by proclaiming March 19, 2008, as Willie Scott Day in the town he called home.

Mr. Scott was called home by our heavenly father to rest on June 6, 2021. He was preceded in death by his sister, Willene Scott; brother, Metzie Lee Scott Jr.; and grandmother, Annie M. Walker.

Mr. Scott leaves to cherish his memories to his son, Brian Bigham; mother, Adell T. Scott; sisters, Mamie Darrisaw of Dublin, Georgia, Minnie Daniels, Katherine Irwin, Annette (Sheldon) Hall, Ruth Scott, and Shirley Scott all of Wrightsville, Georgia, Bessie Lee Clover McClendon and Maxine Clover Garcia both of Dublin, Georgia; brothers, Jerome Scott of Wrightsville, Georgia, Wendell (Joyce) Scott, Early (Lori Ann) Clover and Willie (Janice) Clover all of Dublin, Georgia; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
