Mrs. Helms was born on March 4, 1938, in Union County, NC to Murry and Dora Helms.
She is survived by the love of her life of 66 years, James Helms of Indian Trail, NC.
Betty is proceeded in death by her son James "Roy" Helms (65207841), parents and siblings.
She is survived by her daughter Helen Starnes of Indian Trail; Granddaughters Betty Johnson and husband Bobby of Belmont, Crystal Little of Indian Trail and Krystal Helms of Kershaw; Great-Grandchildren Jason and Katelyn.
She was a grandmother to anyone who crossed her path. She is the kindest and purest of soul that you would ever meet.
