Funeral services for Mr. Terry Dale Campbell, Sr. will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 15, 2021, at First Baptist Church, Pine Prairie, with Reverend Daniel Holsomback officiating. Interment will follow in Campbell Cemetery, Pine Prairie, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale.
Mr. Campbell, 60, of Pine Prairie, entered eternal rest on Friday, June 11, 2021, at Mercy Regional Hospital, Ville Platte.
He enjoyed yardwork and was a people person who loved to talk to everyone. Terry was a Christian who loved God, enjoyed doing God's work and was very active in his church. He was also the 2021 Boggy Bayou Festival King. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Claire Campbell; three brothers, Billy Campbell, Wayne Campbell and Robert Campbell; and one niece, Wendy Elliott.
Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include his wife, Caraline L. Campbell, of Mamou; one son, T. J. Campbell, of Pine Prairie; one step-daughter, Lacey Bordelon, of Mamou; one brother, Denis Campbell, and his wife, Ellen, of Pineville; one sister, Carolyn Rowles, of Pine Prairie; eight grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
A time of visitation will be held at First Baptist Church, Pine Prairie, on Monday, June 14, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Visitation will resume on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
