LEEDS- From The Sun

Mrs. O. C. Ford, wife of O. C. Ford, died at her home in Leeds, Monday morning, October 16, after a lingering illness of nearly a year, being a constant sufferer. She was 49 years of age. There are left to mourn, her husband, O. C. Ford, one daughter, Hope, two sisters, Mrs. Mahaly Harrison, and Mrs. Lela Leight (sp. Yeigh), both of Sioux City, and three brothers, Clay Dean of Leeds, Ben Dean of Winner, South Dakota, and Thomas Dean, of Oregon, and all who knew will miss her and love her memory. Funeral Services were conducted by Rev. Jones, at Olivet Presbyterian church Wednesday, October 18. attended by a large concourse of sorrowing friends. Internment was made in Graceland cemetery.


Huldah Comfort Dean was the daughter of Samuel Wesley Dean and Jane Gragg. She was married to Ozias Calvin Ford on April 30, 1891 in Sioux City, Woodbury County, Iowa. They had two daughters, Rebecca Hazel Ford Rowland and Faith Hope Ford Cornelius.
