Irene Necel Sikora died peacefully at her residence on Wednesday, November 7, 2007. She was the widow of Leonard A. Sikora of Ridgewood, NJ. Previous to her residing in Conway, she lived in Ridgewood, NJ for fifty-two years, where she was active in church and community affairs. She was employed by Bergen Pines Hospital in the bookkeeping department in the years before her retirement.
Mrs. Sikora was born in North Tonawanda, NY, a daughter of Thaddeus and Martha Rudzinska Necel. With her husband, she moved to New Jersey in 1938 and lived there until she came to live with her family in Conway in 2000. She is survived by a daughter, Patricia Sikora Millus and her husband, Dr. Donald J. Milius of Conway, SC, and a son, Leonard Christian Slkora and his wife, Susan Ruscil Sikora of Novato, CA. She had three beloved grandchildren, Christian Anthony Millus and his wife, Melissa ,of Henderson, NV, Dr. Donald M. Millus and his wife, Celine, of Columbia, SC, and Sara Millus Tyler, wife of Charles Tyler of Elgin, SC. In addition she had two greatgrandchildren, Cameron Anthony Millus and Erin Annette Millus of Henderson, NV, and three step-great-grandchildren, Kyle Tyler, Kirsten Tyler, and Morgan Tyler of Elgin, SC. Her nieces were Mary Miller of Depew, NY, Marcia Chisamore of Nashua, NH, Margaret Necel ofNaples FL, and Barbara Michalski of Williamsville, NY. She also had two nephews, Stephen Necel and William Necel of NJ.
Visitation will be on Saturday, November 10, at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway, from 6 pm to 8 pm, with a Prayer Service at 7 pm. Funeral and Burial will be in Ridgewood, NJ. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be sent to Mercy Hospice or the Catholic Church of St. James, Conway.
