Robert Lee Ball died Friday night, April 16 after a long illness. He was born 83 years ago in Marionville, Missouri.
Bob was an economist in the Bureau of Labor Statistics in Washington, DC.
His lifetime love of photography lead him to travel widely in the USA, visiting historic sites, parks, forests, prairies, deserts, and sea shores. In retirement he moved to Springfield, Mo. where he volunteered for several conservation groups, including The Springfield Conservation Nature Center, Greater Ozarks Audubon Society, The Nature Conservancy, and The Missouri Prairie Foundation.
Bob enjoyed a tour of duty in the US Navy. His ashes were interred in a niche at the Springfield Veterans Cemetery on June 11, 2021.
