Jerry graduated from Chippewa Falls High School and attended CVTC for electronics. He loved to collect and tinker with radios, other electronics or anything with a motor.
Jerry served in the U.S. Army where he was a marksman and a supply clerk. He worked many years at Johnson Machine in Chippewa Falls until their closing, as well as Presto and Milwaukee for awhile.
Gerald was united in marriage to Elaine Culver, and in this union they had two children before later divorcing.
The most rewarding job for Jerry was CNA, first at Stanley and then at Wissota Health, where he received a certificate honoring his service with the Alzheimer's Unit. All who worked alongside of him, with his people, praised his kindness and loving nature with those he cared for.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, snowmobiling and trips to Montana to visit his sister Julie.
Jerry is survived by: his daughter, Gina (Brian) Berg; grandchildren Levi and Brylee; brothers John (Lynn), Bill (Mary), Donald (Nancy) and Duane "Skip" (Debbie) Greene; sisters Liz Brick, Julie (Butch) Foiles, Suzie (Bryan) Gadient, Janice (Leon) Dachel, Linda (Ray) Lutzen and Marion (Cecil) Jaenke; sisters-in law Elaine Greene and Roxie (Tom) Hedrington; and many nieces and nephews, as well as many caregivers from Wissota Health, Sara, Andrea and many more.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Roy and Sylvia; brothers Richard and Michael "Mick" Greene; brother-in-law Walter "Moonie" Jaenke; daughter Kimberly; nephew Nathan Jaenke; and a niece, Amanda McNamara.
He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, March 22 at the Leiser Funeral Home in Cadott, with Rev. George Olinske officiating. Interment with military honors by the Cadott American Legion and VFW will follow the services at Brooklawn Cemetery, Cadott.
