DUMAS - Raymon W. Aplin, 61, died Saturday, Aug. 8, 1998.Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today in Lane Memorial Cemetery in Sunray with David Stewart of Church of Christ in San Antonio officiating. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors.Mr. Aplin was born in Turkey and was a longtime resident of Dumas. He had served in law enforcement in Cactus. He was employed as a butcher for D&H Meat Market of Dumas and was a member of the Church of Christ.He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Aplin, in 1979, and a son, Thomas Aplin, in 1996.Survivors include five daughters, Ramona Davis of Middleburg, Fla., Darla Anderson of Amarillo, Debbie Eslick of Spearman, Karen Roscoe of Dumas and Connie Stewart of San Antonio; three sons, Ray Anderson of Dumas, Jerry Aplin of St. Mary's, Ga., and Kenny Aplin of Fordyce, Ark.; a brother, Roy Aplin of Missouri; a sister, Rosa Lee Ewing of Mount Ranier, Wash.; 20 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.The family will be at 200 N. Bliss.
