Graveside services for Elvie Tate Staggs, 89, who died Sunday following an illness at Mission Municipal Hospital, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Valley Memorial Gardens The Rev. Curt Daniel will officiate. Wilson and Sons Mortuary of Mission is in charge of arrangements.
Born in Edna, Tex., Mrs. Staggs had lived in Mission since 1943. She was a retired licensed vocational nurse.
Survivors include only a daughter, Mrs. Guy (Doris) Daniel of Yoakum, Tex.; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sons, Micheal Staggs of Mission, Lloyd Staggs of Delmita, Tex., and Bob Staggs of Dallas; her husband, Charles Staggs; and a brother, Elmer Tate.
