EUGENE WILLIAMS was born to the late Richard Williams and Jessie Settles Williams on March 27, 1946, on Odell-Arcola Road in Warren County, North Carolina. He transitioned from this earthly life to his Heavenly home on Tuesday, May 4, 2021, at his home in the Arcola Community surrounded by his loving family.
During his early years, Eugene accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and became a member of the Odell Missionary Baptist Church in Littleton, North Carolina. He later joined the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in the Arcola Community of Warrenton, North Carolina. His formal education was received in the Warren County Public School System.
Eugene had a passion for logging and driving trucks, and he left his legacy to his boys, Milton, Chris, and Steven. His most prized possessions were his grandchildren whom he dearly loved.
In addition to his parents, Eugene was preceded in death by his loving wife, Delois Williams; his oldest son, Milton Eugene; five brothers and one sister.
Those loved ones remaining to forever treasure every precious moment spent with him are his sons, Christopher Williams (Chalita) and Steven Williams (Janae); his daughters, Laura Cotton (Tentrell) and Lenora Williams (Wesley); twenty-one grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Flordia W. Alston; one brother, David Williams; six sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law; A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, May 10, 2021, at the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 2241 NC Highway 43, in the Arcola Community of Warrenton, NC. The Pastor, Rev. Michael Richardson, will officiate, and Elder Willie T. Williams will deliver the eulogy. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The body will repose at the church for one hour prior to the funeral time. Because of Covid-19, all CDC guidelines will be followed by the wearing of masks, social distancing, and limiting the number of persons in attendance. A viewing will take place from 5:00-7:00 P.M. on Sunday, May 9, 2021, at the funeral home, 215 US Highway 158, Littleton, NC.
