His Will requested burial in the graveyard of the Baptist Mulberry Gap Meeting House. In 2021 a photograph of his gravesite was requested from the Mulberry Baptist Church Cemetery in Sneedville, Hancock County, Tennessee. At that time there were thought to be missing many gravestones, even of those buried there in the 1800s.
