Lawrence was a mentor to anyone who needed help. He loved to fix things, especially cars. He also loved Jeep's, working outside in the yard and around the house. Most of all, he loved his family and the Lord.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Ronnie Elliott.
Left to cherish his life are his wife, Joyce Conner Elliott; two sisters, Barbara Harris (Robert) and Lois Murphy (Reed); three grandchildren, Erin Brandenburg (Red), Dillon Elliott (Blake) and Kyle Elliott and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 12, 2021, at 2:00 p.m., at Stone Mountain Missionary Baptist Church in Black Mountain, North Carolina, with Pastor Gary Peacock and Pastor David Edwards officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., one hour prior to the service, at Stone Mountain Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will be immediately following the service at Stone Mountain Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
