He was born in Lackawanna, N.Y., on Dec. 24, 1944, the son of the late Theodore S. and Loretta (Karg) Ellis.
Paul was a graduate of West Seneca High School and attended Cornell University before enlisting in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
He was a farmer/ landscaper in Forestville, for almost 50 years. Paul enjoyed hunting, fishing and working with wood. He was also a Civil War enthusiast.
Survivors include his wife, Karen (Brown) Ellis, of Forestville, whom he shared a special bond with for nearly 50 years, being married on June 10, 1972, in the Sheridan United Methodist Church; a sister, Marylyn (Tom) Pinnavaia; and a brother, Ted (Barb) Ellis. Also surviving are multiple nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers: John "Jack" Ellis and James "Jim" Ellis; and a sister, Carol Bruce.
Graveside services held in the Pioneer Cemetery, Bennett State Road, Forestville, with The Rev. David Watson, pastor of the Sheridan United Methodist Church, officiating.
