We are deeply saddened to share that Diane M. Preisen passed unexpectedly at her home on June 4, 2021, from heart failure. She was 79 years old.

She was born March 3, 1942, in New Prague, MN to Adeline (Wolf) Busch and Arthur Busch, and was the second of four children, survived by Melvin (Marilynne) Busch, Connie (Don) Litfin and Denise (Paul) Gandola.

Diane was married to her husband, Jerry, for 59 years. Jerry was not only her high school sweetheart, but also the love of her life and lifelong best friend. They had three children together, Deb (Wayne) Chapman, Tammy (Duke) Zurek, and Jarrod (Linda) Preisen, who she loved dearly. She also had three grandchildren, Ian, Corey and Kameron, all of whom were truly the light of her life. And she loved her dogs like her kids, especially Sadie who just turned 15 years old.

She enjoyed travel, including cruises to the Caribbean and Alaska, adventures throughout Europe, and a wonderful experience down under in Australia. She and Jerry met some of the most amazing people throughout their travels, many of whom became lifelong friends. They even took a ride on their Goldwing from their home in Eden Prairie to New Orleans. One of her favorite vacations was her biannual family trip to Branson, MO. She loved the Presley's, Dolly Parton's Stampede, and especially Mickey Gilley. Diane enjoyed checking off bucket list items, which included the Daytona 500, Rose Bowl Parade, and so much more.

Diane loved entertaining, she was a fantastic cook and baker. There wasn't a recipe that she couldn't conquer, especially the ones she learned about on her iPad late into the night. She made sure to pass on the best new recipes to her family.

A thoughtful and dedicated caregiver, she supported her mother and Aunt Stella to the very end. She cared so much about others and would light up any room she entered with her bright and contagious smile. Diane was diagnosed with congestive heart failure two years ago and never let that slow her down.

Funeral services will be held at St. Hubert Catholic Community in Chanhassen, on Thursday, June 10, at 11AM, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Visitation is Wednesday evening from 5-7 PM at Washburn-McReavy Eden Prairie Chapel, 7625 Mitchell Rd.

Diane left this world better than she found it and will remain a blessed part of each of our lives forever.
