Derrick Thomas Bacon, age 20, former LCHS choir student has gone to his rest, Mar. 5, 2005, after a vehicular accident en route to work. He was born Dec. 17, 1984 to Karen Bacon Wimberly. At the time of his death, he was employed at Whataburger as a shift manager, and a member of the Catholic Church.

Survivors include his loving wife, Victoria Duran Bacon, daughters Dallas, Kaitlyn, and his stepson Rio Duran, all of the family home, his maternal grandfather Thomas E. Bacon. Other survivors include numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and close friends. Sister Tara K. Wagner and his maternal grandmother, Louan K. Patterson preceded him in death.

At Mr. Bacon's request, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held Fri. Mar. 11, 2005 at 5 pm at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 1327 N. Miranda with Monsignor John E. Anderson officiating. The family will be receiving friends and family who wish to pay their respects to Derrick at their home, 1519 E. Idaho Ave, #A on Sat. Mar 12, 2005 10:00am-6 pm.

In lieu of flower, the family requests donations be made in Derrick's name to Mothers Against Drunk Drivers, 1990 E. Lohman Ave., Ste 123, Las Cruces, NM, 88001
