Sarah Geraldine "Gerry" Albright Callicutt, age 90, of Asheboro went to Heaven on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at Randolph Hospice House surrounded by family.

Geraldine was born in Coleridge, NC. She attended school and graduated from Coleridge High School. She worked in her early years at Bossong Hosiery where she met her husband Donald "Pap" Callicutt. She was thankful for each day and tried to live a life pleasing to the Lord. She read the Bible and prayed for her children every day. She was a member of Asheboro First E&R United Church of Christ where she served in several capacities, including teaching Sunday School and being a member of the Golden Notes Choir. She was very active and worked at Tie Rite Neckwear as a sewer, Black & Decker as a line worker, and at General Electric as the Main Switchboard receptionist. She was formerly a teacher assistant and substitute at Asheboro High School and loved her teaching assistant job at Lindley Park School. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi. Gerry enjoyed helping everyone she could. She was a great daughter, sister, wife, mother, and friend loved by all.

In addition to her parents, Joe and Bertha Albright, Gerry was preceded in death by her husband, Donald James "Pap" Callicutt and brother, Jesse Albright and his wife Betty Sue.

She is survived by her son, Don Callicutt (Deborah) of Atlanta, GA; daughters, Jana Callicutt Barnette (Ashley) of Charlotte and Dee Ann Callicutt Morris of Asheboro; grandchildren, Sarah Lyn and Andy Walter of Maine, Brian Callicutt of Tennessee, Eren Phipps and Cody of Archdale, Alleson Morris and fiancé Jason Fernandez of Hendersonville, Blake Barnette and Brysen Barnette of Charlotte; great grandchildren, Wyatt James Walter and Mckinlee Grace Phipps; twin sister, Pauline Jarrell (David) of Asheboro, sister, Faye Craven (Floyd) of High Point and her twin brother, Ray Albright (Carolyn) of Ramseur, sisters, Betty Cox (Maurice) of Athens, TX, and Elaine Kearns (Neale) of Asheboro; and her beloved fur friend "Happy."

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Sunday, June 13, 2021 at 3:00 pm at the Asheboro First E&R United Church of Christ, 221 Cliff Road in Asheboro with Rev. Dave Cash officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall. A private burial will be held at Oaklawn Cemetery.
