Memorial Services, 1:00 PM, Wednesday, June 9, 2021, at Bonlee Baptist Church, Bear Creek. Officiating, Rev. Jeff Joyce, Rev. Bob Lovett.
Burial, 3 PM, Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at Sunset Knoll Cemetery in Ramseur, with Military Honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard.
Charles was a native of Guilford County, long time resident of Randolph County, and a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was employed as a cook with Randolph Health and was a member of Whites Memorial Baptist Church.
Charles was preceded in death by his mother, Shelia Blackman, brother, Bobby.
Survivors: wife, Diane Craven, of the home, sons, Chris Chappell, and wife, Chelsea, of Bennett, Nickolas Chappell, of the home. daughters, Melinda Bryan, of Ramseur, Charlene Chappell, father, Frank Chappell, of New Mexico, sisters, Julie and Robin, brother, Carrie, four grandchildren.
Visitation, 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, Wednesday, Bonlee Baptist Church, Bear Creek.
