Jodi K. (Salzman) King, 44, of Harrisburg, SD passed away on Sunday, June 6, 2021.

Memorial Service will be 10:00 am Saturday, June 12 at Miller Funeral Home-Southside Chapel, 7400 S. Minnesota Ave. Interment will be at Pleasant View Cemetery, Harrisburg, SD.

Visitation with the family present will be from 5:00 – 7:00 pm Friday, June 11, at Miller Funeral Home-Southside Chapel.

Jodi Kay Salzman, daughter of William Bausch and Susie Salzman, was born March 1, 1977 in Sibley, IA. She grew up in Sibley area where she graduated from Sibley-Ocheyedan High School in 1995.

She worked in Sibley for Aalfs Manufacturing where she worked as a seamstress sewing jeans for a few years.

She began to establish her relationship with Dan King, and they moved to Dell Rapids, SD in 1998. They were united in marriage on September 9, 2010. She continued her education at Colorado Technical Institute, and earned her Medical Assistant Degree. She decided to continue her education to become a Registered Nurse which she completed in 2008. She worked for Sanford Oncology for 11 years from 2005-2015, then with Sanford Gastroenterology for a few years 2015-2018 and in 2018 returned to Sanford Oncology Radiation where she has worked since. She was the recipient of the Florence Nightingale Award for going above and beyond for the care of patients.

She enjoyed spoiling her husband and two sons, Asher and Rogan. She loved doing things for people and enjoyed making crafts for the holidays and any occasion.

Grateful for sharing her life are her husband, Dan; two sons, Asher and Rogan; her mother, Suzie Jenkins and her husband, Terry; a sister, Morgan Salzman and her children, Carson and Sophia; brother-in-law, Paul King and Kathy King and their children, Hayden and Kaycie; sister-in-law, Deborah Clark and her husband, Scott and their children, Sky and Ben; father-in-law, Johnnie King and his special friend and companion, Kay Carlson; and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, William Bausch; her grandparents; and her mother-in-law, Lorraine King.
