Charles H. Bivens, 69, of 251 E. Grant St, Greencastle, died at 11:20 a.m. Thursday at the Waynesboro Hospital after a long illness. He was born May 25, 1893, at Fort Loudon, a son of the late John and Kathryn (Kissinger) Bivens. He was a member of the Greencastle Church of the Brethren and was employed at the
Letterkenny Army Depot, Chambersburg. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Florence (Foust) Bivens; two
daughters and a son, Mrs. J. Charles Beahm and Mrs. Wilmer Cooper, both of Greencastle, and Roy K. Bivens, Staunton;. Va.; six- grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; a brother, John Bivens, Mechanicsburg, and two sisters, Mrs. John Brindle, Chambersburg, and Mrs. Emory Myers, St Thomas.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday from the Minnich Funeral Home, Greencastle, in charge of the Rev. Samuel D. Lindsay and the Rev. Wayne A. Nicarry. Burial will be made in Brown's Mill Cemetery.
