Robert "Bob" Wayne Doane, age 91, of Askov, MN passed away on Monday, June 7, 2021 at his home.
Bob was born on July 9, 1929 in Wabasha, MN to Wayne and Margaret (Patton) Doane. Bob's childhood was spent in Plainview, MN, graduating from the high school there and going off to college. Attending college at the University of Minnesota in St. Paul, MN and St. Paul Bible College (Now Crown College), Bob obtained his bachelor degree. On August 16, 1952 Bob married his sweetheart, Leone Walstrom. They were married until Leone's passing in 2017. Bob was always active in church, including bus ministry in the 70's, junior church, and being a board member much of the time. When time permitted Bob loved to relax with a canoe trip in the Boundary Waters up north.
Bob is preceded in death by his loving wife Leone; his son, Scott Doane; his parents, Wayne and Margaret.
Bob is survived by his daughters, Mary (Claren) Reitsma of Sandstone, MN, Mary (Bert) Reitsma of Florida; his brother, David Doane of Plainview, MN; 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
A memorial service is being planned for a later date.
