BIRTH AND PARENTS
Mary Denidger was born about 1807 -- the consensus of many genealogists. Her parents were unknown as of 2022. "History of Boone, County, Indiana" and daughter's certificate of death reported that her birthplace was Tennessee.
PARTNERSHIP AND FAMILY
She had at least one child, a daughter, Phereba, with Joseph Bishop in May 1832. No marriage contract had been located as of 2022. It was suspected that their partnership began about 1829 since she was in Joseph Bishop's household in 1830, while his first wife, Polly Dungan Bishop, was absent. The partnership was reported in the "History of Boone County, Indiana." Volume II. Page 947.
DEATH
Mary Denidger had probably died before 1833 since her husband, Joseph, married his second wife, Lydia Markland Bishop, in Indiana that year. Mary may have died following childbirth. In fact, Mary Denidger probably died about July 1832 in Indiana. In 1847 Mary's partner, Joseph Bishop, died. In 1850, according to the census that year, their daughter, Phereba, lived with Lydia (Markland) Bishop.
BURIAL
As of 2022, her site of burial was unknown.
