Her ancestors were landowners, and Protestants. Her fifth great grandfather, Sir John Patrick Dungan, requested in his Will to be buried next to his parents in the graveyard of a Church of Ireland, St John's.

She married Joseph Bishop on September 28, 1809, in Kentucky. They had one son, Nelson, in Indiana in 1820, and several daughters, during their marriage.
DEATH
She was absent from Joseph's Indiana household in 1830. Polly Ann Dungan Bishop had probably died in Indiana, before 1830.
