Thomas Smith, a farmer of Cecil township, died at 5:15' o'clock Tuesday afternoon of pulmonary congestion, aged 46 years. Mr. Smith had been in ill health for about a year suffering severely from rheumatism He is survived by his wife and seven children. Deceased was born in Ireland in 1860, and was a son of Matthew Smith of Greenside avenue, the family coining to this country about twenty years ago. Three brothers and three sisters also survive. These are George, Archie, William, Margaret, Elizabeth and Sarah. Two children of Mr. Smith met tragic deaths. One was burned to death a number of years ago and a son was killed by being run over by a wagon in Cecil township in August, 1904. A brother of deceased, Samuel Smith, was killed by a train nearly five years ago. The funeral will be held Thursday at 10 o'clock. The interment will be n Oak Spring cemetery.
