Billy Dean Duncan, age 86, of Hodgenville, passed away, Sunday, June 6, 2021, at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home.

He was a former LaRue County Sheriff, Deputy Sheriff and Hodgenville City Policeman, he retired from the Kentucky State Highway Department. Billy was an Elder of Salem Christian Church where he served as Chairman of the Board for 40 years, former song leader and church cemetery sexton, an avid storyteller, he served 20 years on the Board of Directors of the White Mills Christian Church Camp.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Cromwell Duncan; his parents, Mac and Viola Price Duncan; six brothers including his twin brother, Bobby and Raymond, Walter Lee, Albert, Franklin and Kenneth; two sisters, Kathleen Clark and Naomi Specht.

Billy is survived by two daughters, Deana Duncan McNary and Marsha Duncan both of Hodgenville; three grandchildren, Whitley Duncan, Jayden Duncan and Hallee McNary.

Funeral services will be 11 am Thursday, June 10, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville, Bro. Sid Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Church Cemetery.
