Juanita Baldwin Phillips
March 06, 1924 - June 06, 2021

Juanita Baldwin Phillips, age 97, passed away on Sunday, June 6, 2021, at her Lerona home of seventy years. Our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother was born on March 6, 1924, in Rock, West Virginia. She was the daughter of Harvey C. and Nancy Lusk Baldwin. She graduated from Spanishburg High School in 1942. After high school, she supported the war effort by working in defense plants in Newark, NJ and Baltimore, MD. After returning to WV, her family moved to Lerona. Her parents retired to Florida and gave parcels of the Lerona property to their children. There, she married and raised her family. After her children started school, she worked at the Sun Valley Elementary School. Later, until her retirement, she managed the Concord College Snack Bar. She lived by grace through faith and was a member of the Church of Christ at Lerona. She was one of thirteen children and is survived by her brother, Donald Baldwin of Speedway, WV. She is also survived by her sons, Ronnie (Debbie) Phillips, Lerona; Kenneth (Sandy) Phillips, Speedway; Robert (Debbie) Phillips, Princeton; and her daughters, Sandy Lynch, Port Orange, FL; Beverly Tucker, Orange Park, FL; and Diana Phillips, Port Orange, FL. She leaves behind several grandchildren and great-grandchildren who she deeply loved. Her kind and generous spirit touched the lives of many people, but her greatest joy in life came from her family. Celebration of life services for Juanita Baldwin Phillips will be held, at 11:00 A.M., Friday, June 11, 2021, from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory, on the Athens Road, Princeton, with Rod Hedrick officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Princeton. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 A.M. until the service hour at the funeral home. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
