Dorothy Fay Yarbrough, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, was born on May 16, 1925, in Houston, TX, to Mr. and Mrs. Stokes. She was the youngest of four daughters. She died on May 20, 2021 in Merced, CA.

Dorothy and her loving husband, Louis Yarbrough, raised three children. She joyed in attending Friendship Baptist Church in Merced where she was fondly revered as Mother Yarbrough. She also enjoyed fishing and playing Yahtzee and card games with her grandchildren.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband, Louis, and her sisters. She is survived by her daughters, Ofay Robinson of Ceres, Luwana Matthews (Tim) of Merced, son, Louis Yarbrough, of Merced and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be held in her honor on Wed, June 9th at 11AM at Stratford Evans in Merced with a burial immediately following at the Merced District Cemetery.
