Louisville - Adeline Fowler, 93, went to her heavenly home Monday, June 7, 2021. She was the former Mary Adeline Fowler, born October 23, 1927 in Lebanon, KY to the late James Lester and Mary Josephine Ryan Bland.

Adeline was a long time clerk for the old Fernmoor Drug Store and later the Medicine Shoppe, both in Fern Creek. She was a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church where she was an active member of the quilting club and she volunteered at Little Sisters of the Poor.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul D. Fowler; children, Charlotte Krekel and Joseph Fowler and is survived by her children, Jane Harshfield (Barry), Paulette Robinson (Joe), Gary Fowler (Jeanie), and Valerie Maddix (Wesley); daughter-in-law, Susan Fowler; 15 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; a great great grandchild "on the way"; and sisters, Teresa Russell, Mary Cecil and Linda Ford.

"We are so lucky and blessed to have been touched by her love and kindness. The footprints she has left on our hearts is immeasurable. Thank you to Morning Pointe and Springhurst for the care and kindness that they showed to our Mother while she was there."

Her funeral is 2pm Friday at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 5505 Bardstown Road with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation is 1-7pm Thursday and after 12pm Friday. Published by Courier-Journal from Jun. 8 to Jun. 9, 2021
