Quinten Ray Adkins, 82, died October 9, 2011. Born in Barboursville, W. Va., he was a member of Crestview Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Anna Adkins; sisters, Faye and Blanche; and brothers, Jack and James. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Jimmie; and sons, Doug (Teresa) of York, S.C., Greg (Valorie) of Diamond, Ohio, Ted (Gail) of Streetsboro, Ohio, Paul (Monica) of Eugene, Ore., and Tim (Claudia) of Hudson, Ohio. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Rachel (Nate), Anna, Carly, Ben, Elizabeth, Martin, Rainy, Torrent, Dare, and Sanguine. Ray enjoyed woodworking, gardening, gospel and bluegrass music, and his family. Pastor John McIntyre will conduct a memorial service at Crestview Baptist Church, 3943 Fishcreek Road, Stow, OH 44224 on Saturday, October 22 at 11 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Crestview Baptist Church or the American Heart Association, Akron Metro, 3505 Embassy Parkway, Suite 100, Akron, OH 44333.
