Michelle Nicole Coats, 42, of Elkton, Maryland, entered into rest unexpectedly on Friday, May 21, 2021. Born in Wilmington, Delaware, she was the daughter of Brenda J. Smith of Quarryville and the late John F. Thompson, Jr. She was the loving wife of Tyrell Jean Coats for the past 7 years.
Michelle had most recently worked as a server at Cracker Barrel Restaurant in Elkton. She was a Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoyed animals, cooking, and listening to music.
In addition to her mother and husband, Michelle is survived by 3 children: Chelsea N. Mitchem of Raleigh, NC; Timothy L. Mitchem, Jr. of Elkton and Ronald B. Fortin, III of Elkton. Also surviving is a sister, Kelly L. Lawrence of Quarryville; and a brother, David W. Halladay, II of Millsboro, DE; and her best friend, Tabitha S. Hickman.
Services and interment will be at the discretion of the family.
