Mary Ann Bizzell, 70. Midwest City, OK. June 5, 2021. Mary Ann was born January 24, 1951 in Olustee, OK to parents Pierce and Estelle Rhodes. She was an eager student and graduated high school a year early in 1968. She was awarded an academic scholarship to Oklahoma Christian College and finished her degree in 1972. She was a hard worker and during college she worked nights at the snack bar and in the admissions office. She continued her education and received a masters degree from the University of Central Oklahoma. From there she became a teacher and guidance counselor until she retired in 2001. She taught French, social studies, and was actively involved with the yearbook at Carl Albert High School and at Oklahoma Christian Academy. She enjoyed traveling and performed mission work in France. She was passionate about education and was an avid reader.
She married Kent Bizzell in 1976. They had two children, Kendra and Charlie.
Her father Pierce died of a stroke when Mary Ann was 10. She is also preceded in death by her mother Estelle and her granddaughter Claire Elise Bizzell.
She is survived by her husband Kent, daughter Kendra and Shawne Estep , son Charlie and Juliana Bizzell, her two grandchildren Taylor and Tyler Estep, and great grandson Morgan Higginbottom.
Funeral Services were Thursday, June 10, 2021 at Eastside Church of Christ, Midwest City, OK
